Question: Where else can I access Department of Social Services Data?

Answer: Department of Social Services publishes publicly available data to Data.gov.au, such as (but not limited to):
- DSS Payments by Commonwealth Electoral Division
- DSS Payments by Local Government Area
- DSS Payments by Statistical Area 2
- DSS Benefit and Payment Recipient Demographics - Quarterly Data
- DSS Income Support Recipients - Monthly Time Series
- DSS JobSeeker Payment and Youth Allowance Recipients - Monthly Profile

Question: How long will it take for me to receive a response once my request is submitted?

Answer: You will automatically receive an email notification from ‘notifications@noreply.tabliondata.com’ with the subject ‘{DR#} - Your DSS data request has been submitted’. You can login to your account and submit a comment if you would like an update on your request at any time.

Requests will be managed in line with Departmental priorities.

Question: Can I update my data request after it has been submitted?

Answer: If you have already submitted your data request and would like to make changes before it is approved, follow the below steps to update your request:

  1. Navigate to the ‘Summary’ page of your data request.
  2. Select’ Update Request’ at the bottom of the page.
  3. Click on ‘Yes’ when the pop-up box appears.
  4. Scroll down, and on the righthand side of the screen, select ‘Edit Request’.
  5. Once you’ve made the required changes, click on ‘Save & Exit’.
  6. From the ‘Summary’ page on your request, scroll to the bottom of the page and select ‘Submit Request’.

Question: How can I nominate someone else to receive the data I’ve requested?

Answer: On the first page of the data request form, you can add additional members to your request who will also be able to receive the requested data.
Please note: If you would like the additional members to be able to receive the requested data, please change their role from ‘Discussant’ to ‘Analyst’ in the drop-down list next to their email address in the data request form.
